Let’s get this out of the way first: FeedBurner is neither a script nor a plugin. But it is usually accessed with a plugin, and it uses its scripts to provide a whole shopping list of services for you to choose from.

In order to use it, you must have an RSS feed. If you are using a blogging platform such as WordPress, this is not a problem, since a feed is published automatically. You can use a plugin such as FD Feedburner, which automatically redirects your feed to Read more …

If you have a webpage or a post that uses pictures, you may want to exhibit them without making your page look crowded. If you don’t want to use flash ( which is too “flashy” for some tastes ), there are several standard methods of doing this:

  • Use a Slide Show, which only requires space for one picture, since new pictures continually replace it, one at a time.

  • Or use a Gallery, which takes more space, but gives the viewer some control by requiring a click to change the picture in the central location.

Almost five years ago, I joined a program called Article Video Robot, and made a video from one of my Ezine Articles on losing weight. I posted it on YouTube, but was almost embarassed to promote it, since it was rather ugly. I also used my own voice to read the article, which was not pretty either.

Scripts For Your Website logo

I recently decided to renovate the Scripts For Your Website blog, which hasn’t had a new post in many years. While I was looking over the old posts, I found that some of them were about plugins or scripts that are no longer available!

Naturally, my first task was to delete all the defunct posts. Nine posts remain, of which eight are about scripts and one is about a plugin. I updated all of these, and they are now ready for you to check out again.

I spent some time looking for new material that has been published since my last post. I found some apparently excellent scripts and blogs from which to choose. Naturally, I have to try them before recommending them on this blog.

My first new post will be about a plugin for your blog. If all goes well, it will be published in a few days.
